Program: Community Awareness Recovery Education
Women for Sobriety’s Community Awareness and Recovery Education (CARE) is a secular support program for family members and friends. Its mission is to provide support aimed at empowering those who have loved ones in addiction.
WFS CARE Group meetings are based on a holistic framework grounded in science and kindness. If you have a loved one for whom you're concerned, come join us.
The WFS CARE Family and Friends program uses the Invitation to Change (ITC) from the Center for Motivation and Change Foundation. The ITC approach is a holistic “helping” framework based in science and kindness, designed for the families and loved ones of people struggling with substance use. Led by trained facilitators, our meetings invite you to reflect on what it means to help, to reimagine the role that loved ones can play in the change process, and to learn evidence-supported strategies for helping.

This meeting is only for family and friends of those struggling with addiction. If you are seeking support for your own addictive behavior, we encourage you to join one of our 4C Recovery Meetings, which are designed specifically for women working on their own recovery.
